THE GREEN ZONE
Problem
After a pandemic, zoom school and growing up on their phones – college undergraduates are out of practice with the direct nuanced communication to make consent fun and even sexy.
Insight
Consent is a basic life skill and good sex is when mutual pleasure is the goal. Practicing language around consent can help prevent sexual assault.
Strategy
Get young people talking about consent on college campuses
by showing them how consent is the bare minimum with sex and how things get even better from there.
Google Muchá!
Towards a digital future
Challenge
65% of the population in Guatemala has access to the internet. What about the rest? There are several communities that still cannot benefit from technology and the internet. How can we bridge the digital gap and empower communities?
Insight
"Muchá" is a Guatemalan expression for a group of related and/or close people. Google, with its extensive technological expertise, has the resources and potential to make a significant difference in bridging this gap.
Solution
Google Muchá! is an initiative that will provide free high-speed internet access, digital education programs, and computers in underserved areas through Google Centers. It is also accompanied by a "Me siento con suerte" scholarship program to empower young people in the country in technology careers.
Results
We have an impact in Guatemala, as much as the communities with digital skills, opening up a world of opportunities for personal growth and the digital gap in Guatemala will decrease.
We have more than 15+ Google Centers open throughout the region.
More than 30 local civil organizations are in operation of these centers.
All have a private security system.
An estimated positive impact on approximately 100,000 people in Central America.

Insight
Many women in Guatemala are looking for a safe platform to meet people and build deep connections, but they face the constant fear of unsafe encounters or dangerous situations. A solution is needed that allows them to have control and feel protected while interacting with other users.
We present "BumbleSafe" as an innovative solution to promote safety in dating in Guatemala, specifically designed for Guatemala City.
This feature allows users to establish a trusted safety contact (friends, family, local organizations). An emergency panic button will be implemented in the app for immediate dangerous situations, along with helplines and safety training for participating local organizations.
We want to provide a safety solution for women while they are online dating. We are aware that gender-based violence disproportionately affects women. With that in mind, we created an effective tool for Bumble.

Challenge
Mental health in Guatemala requires greater attention. Many people struggle with mental health issues silently and lack resources to seek appropriate support and guidance. It is necessary to address this problem and create a safe space where individuals can learn how to take care of their mental well-being.
Insight
Spotify has the opportunity to use its platform to improve the mental health of Guatemalan society. Spotify can become an ally for those seeking support and resources to confront their emotional challenges by offering a dedicated section for mental health.
